LGBTQ Organizations to Consider this Giving Tuesday

Family Equality advances legal and lived equality for LGBTQ+ families, and for those who wish to form them, through building community, changing hearts and minds, and driving policy change. Family Equality believes every LGBTQ+ person should have the right and opportunity to form and sustain a loving family, regardless of who they are or where they live.

Black Queer Town Hall is a Non-Profit organization led by Peppermint and Bob The Drag Queen that is committed to celebrating black queer excellence by supporting and cultivating community, sharing knowledge, and uplifting voices.

Athlete Ally believes sport will change the world when it welcomes and empowers all people. As a leading national nonprofit working at the intersection of sport and LGBTQI+ equality, Athlete Ally works to end the structural and systemic oppression that isolates, excludes and endangers LGBTQI+ people in sport. 

Ruth Ellis Center has established a national reputation for quality and innovation in providing trauma-informed services for lesbian, gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth, and young adults, with an emphasis on young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involved in the child welfare system, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing.

For almost 50 years, Lambda Legal has been a major force in effecting social change through our public policy and impact litigation work on behalf of the LGBTQ community and everyone living with HIV. The organization is winning new protections for the most vulnerable in our community including people of color, people living with HIV, seniors, trans/GNC people, and youth.
