Happening this week: Pitlyk may be the next federal judge / Nearly 900 health centers have lost funding after Title X ruling / Northern Ireland decriminalizes abortion.
Get Involved!
Start Here:
Sarah Pitlyk has spent her career fighting against reproductive health care, including opposing abortion, birth control access, surrogacy, and in vitro fertilization. It’s a shameful record that has consistently put Pitlyk’s extreme ideology ahead of patients’ health and rights — so it’s no surprise that President Trump wants her as a federal judge, appointed for LIFE.

Our Senate MUST vote no on Sarah Pitlyk. Click here to tweet and tell our lawmakers to #ProtectOurCourts, and read more about why Sarah Pitlyk is unfit for a lifetime judgeship.
More Time? Do This:
1 Ever since the Trump administration was allowed to ban Title X providers from referring patients for abortion services, nearly 900 clinics have lost Title X funding. In five states, there isn’t a single Title X clinic left. Find out what organizations like Planned Parenthood are doing to make sure this gap doesn’t widen.
2 What will it take to make sexual and reproductive health care truly accessible? Universal coverage is the answer — and members of Congress and other public officials have offered numerous proposals aimed at making that goal a reality. Learn more about it here.
Get Loud
The Trump-Pence administration wants you to believe that the gag rule will have no effect on access to sexual and reproductive health care in this country.

They. Are. Wrong.

#GettingMeThrough
#GettingMeThrough this week is Northern Ireland, where abortion is now decriminalized, and new regulations to allow same-sex marriage and civil partnerships have been established. British lawmakers are now in the process of creating lawful access to abortion services and gave Northern Ireland's assembly until October 21 to institute alterations to the reforms.

Grainne Teggart, Amnesty International's Northern Ireland campaign manager, said of this ruling: “This is a hugely significant moment and the beginning of a new era for Northern Ireland — one in which we're free from oppressive laws that have policed our bodies and healthcare."

Congratulations to the organizers, lawmakers, and citizens that made this a reality!
