Time is running out, John >>

This is our moment, John.

The U.S. Senate only has a few weeks to pass the Freedom to Vote Act before they plan to go on recess on December 17th.

If Congress doesn’t fix the filibuster and pass the Freedom to Vote Act before they head home, America’s democracy will crumble.

Senator Schumer and Speaker Pelosi have the power to delay recess until the Freedom to Vote Act is passed. If our movement pressures them, they’ll keep lawmakers in D.C. to get this done.

We can’t let politicians choose an early vacation over saving America’s democracy. Sign the petition to send an immediate message to Majority Leader Schumer and Speaker of the House Pelosi telling them to do their jobs and keep lawmakers in Washington until they fix our political system.

Demand Lawmakers Stay in D.C.

Our sources on the Hill tell us that Senate leadership is leaning hard on Senator Manchin to fix the filibuster and do whatever it takes to pass the Freedom to Vote Act.

Translation: We’re closer to victory than ever before, but lawmakers need more time to pass the Act before the year’s end.

Before Congress goes on recess they need to fund the government, raise the debt ceiling, reauthorize defense spending, and consider President Biden’s agenda. It's crucial that our democracy doesn't get swept aside among these priorities.

If we can get loud and pressure lawmakers to stay in Washington past December 17th, we have a shot at passing the Freedom to Vote Act and saving our democracy.

There’s not a moment to waste, John. Take 30 seconds to sign the petition demanding Congressional leadership stay in D.C. until the Freedom to Vote Act is passed.

Add your name now.

A majority of Americans from across the political spectrum support the Freedom to Vote Act. Together we can get this done.

Let’s do this,

Jen
