I hope you and your loved ones enjoyed a very happy Thanksgiving.

It's officially the last day of November, and it has been an exciting month in Congress.

First, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law. This bill will invest in Washington State's infrastructure and I'm thrilled it includes provisions I championed to make our forests more resilient to wildfires, protect public trails and roads, and enhance the safety and power generating capacity of dams.

Then, we passed the Build Back Better Act through the House. This legislation will give working families with children a big tax break, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and provide preschool to all 3 and 4 year olds. It is also the biggest investment ever made in climate solutions.

My Democratic colleagues in the House and I focused on delivering results for families across the country. I'm proud of the progress we've made, and I'm ready to keep fighting for the families I represent, but I need your help.

Yesterday, a third Republican opponent entered the race to challenge me. While we don't know who our Republican opponent will be next November, we do know this will be our toughest race yet.

Tonight is our end-of-month fundraising deadline. Reaching our goal is crucial to ensuring we have the resources to protect the 8th district from our Republican opponents and to protect the country from a Republican majority in Congress. I don't accept a dime of corporate PAC money, so I'm counting on the help of this grassroots team to push us over the finish line before midnight.
