I’m reaching out myself with an important request. Can I have a moment to share why your support before tonight’s fundraising deadline matters so much?

Some folks have tried to say Democrats can’t win North Carolina, but it’s just not true. Non-partisan analysts from Cook Political to CNN all say that North Carolina’s Senate race will be one the most competitive in the country in 2022.

There are also folks who say that becoming the third African American woman to serve in the U.S. Senate — and the first African American senator from North Carolina — will be difficult.

But here’s what I know: I’ve won statewide twice before, and having elected officials at the table who represent a diversity of personal and professional experiences matters tremendously. So if we build a true people-powered campaign, then we can win again. And we need lots of folks like you coming together to fight back and flip this seat.
