Dear Friend,
I’d like to introduce you to the mother and child in the picture above,
Kerlande and her son, Kervens, from southern Haiti. On August 14, their home was
completely destroyed by the massive earthquake that also killed more than 2,000
people.
I am part of a Project HOPE Emergency Response Team that immediately deployed
to Haiti to help. I saw firsthand the lifesaving difference that your compassion and
generosity can make for families like Kerlande’s after they’ve lost
everything.
I’m reaching out today because I’ve set a personal goal
to raise $50,000 for Project HOPE before midnight tomorrow for Giving
Tuesday. And
I am excited to share that every $1 you donate TRIPLES
in impact when you give now. That can mean 3X the lifesaving medications, 3X the
first aid kits and 3X the vital support for local health care workers and people
in need.
Worrying about your child’s health is exhausting enough, but not having
a home or the supplies to help was so much worse. Kervens was sick, and Kerlande
didn’t know where to turn until she heard that the nearby clinic in Duchity
was helping earthquake survivors. Project HOPE team members were on hand supplying
and equipping local doctors and nurses, as well as providing basic care.
