During his campaign and the first year of his presidency, President Biden has consistently said three words: Build Back Better.
Pramila fought tirelessly for the President’s agenda in the House, even as corporate lobbyists and conservatives tried to stop Build Back Better. Thanks to her leadership and our movement, Democrats were able to pass it through the House two weeks ago WITH progressive policies like universal pre-K, paid family and medical leave, action on climate change, affordable childcare, Medicare expansion, lower prescription drug costs, and much, much more.
Now, the President’s signature piece of legislation faces its next test in the Senate, against the same corporate special interests that tried to stop Build Back Better in the House. Pramila’s fight to make the largest investment in working people, families, and our communities in decades continues no matter how tough it gets or how much money they spend against us.
But to be honest, it gets harder to pass the strongest Build Back Better Act possible with each day that the bill sits in the Senate. This is the President’s agenda on the line. Historic investments in our people and our planet hang in the balance. We need to keep this fight going and deliver.
