Dear John,
#GivingTuesday is here.
People from around the world are joining to support ending Alzheimer's disease on this special day to do good and inspire hope. Where does hope come from in the fight against Alzheimer's? It comes from you.
When you help to accelerate research advancements, enhance care and support programs and strengthen advocacy efforts, you provide crucial hope to people living with Alzheimer's and the friends and family who love and care for them.
I want to thank you for being part of our community. We hope you'll take this opportunity today to make your first gift when it can have twice the impact in the fight to end Alzheimer's.
Please make a gift of hope today, on #GivingTuesday, to help drive care, support and research while it can go 2X as far during our $800,000 Matching Gift Challenge.

The end of Alzheimer's starts with you, John. I hope you'll join us and our generous friend, who wishes to remain anonymous and who has pledged $800,000 to the Alzheimer's Association if we can raise that same amount by December 31. Their extraordinary gift will help to expand local health systems outreach, and train and support health care providers through Project ECHO to enable them to better understand Alzheimer's and all other dementia and make accurate and timely diagnoses.
On this global day of giving, I'm sure you're thinking hard about what gifts to give and what causes to support. By being a member of our community, you've shown that our work matters to you. Before #GivingTuesday ends at midnight, I'm asking you to join us by taking part in this very special opportunity to achieve 2X the impact in the fight to end Alzheimer's during our $800,000 Matching Gift Challenge. In so many ways, it's the fight of our lives.
Your #GivingTuesday donation can go 2X as far to help drive our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
What makes our work together so urgent is that the number of people living with Alzheimer's — more than 6 million in the United States — and the number of people caring for them — over 11 million — is increasing. As the number of older Americans grows rapidly, so too will the number of new and existing cases of Alzheimer's.
By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer's may grow to a projected 13 million, barring the development of medical breakthroughs to prevent, slow or cure Alzheimer's disease.
That's one of our goals: to be at the forefront of developing those breakthroughs. We're expanding our funding for research in the hope for new treatments and a potential cure. That's why your #GivingTuesday gift today really is a gift of hope.
If everyone reading this email makes a gift right now, we'll reach our goal and provide 2X the impact in the fight to end Alzheimer's. |
