The VERY FIRST election that has the chance to kick start a Blue Wave for
2020 is the special congressional election in North Carolina’s 9th
District – and it’s coming up fast.

You might remember that this is the special election that was called after
the Republican candidate was caught cheating to eke out a narrow win in
November and those results were tossed out.

We have the same Democrat in the race, but now a new Republican – Dan
Bishop, who is the right-wing extremist state legislator who authored
North Carolina’s nationally infamous – and incredibly bigoted –
transgender bathroom ban!

PFAW just solidified our plans to get involved in this election and flip
this seat from red to blue because of how important it will be to holding
onto the Democratic House majority and to dealing Trump an early defeat
that could give progressives amazing momentum heading into 2020.

The most recent polling for this race has Republican Dan Bishop 4 points
ahead of Democrat Dan McCready -- well within the margin of error, making
this race a statistical DEAD HEAT!

Republicans are worried -- they just sent Vice President Mike Pence to
North Carolina to campaign for Bishop on Wednesday. Pence spoke at a
fundraiser for Bishop in Fayetteville, where the two discussed Bishop's
support for Trump, according to The Fayetteville Observer.

We need to fight back and do everything we can to defeat radical Trump
Republican Dan Bishop -- that's why we're deploying our proven electoral
programs to mobilize voters in the district and flip this crucial seat!
