Friend --
To avert an all-out climate disaster, aggressive action is needed at every level of government.
But I'm concerned. With bold climate action still stalled in D.C., it's clearer than ever that state and local governments must double-down on our work to cut emissions and meet this moment.
Tonight is our campaign's end-of-month fundraising deadline. Will you chip in $10 today, so we can build a movement strong enough to avert climate disaster?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
While the growing threats of climate change are sobering, we also have reason to be optimistic. By coming together, we can meet this moment with the innovation and urgency it demands.
Here are just a few of the pledges I made at COP-26 earlier this month:
- Conserve at least 30% of land and 30% of coastal waters by 2030
- Ensure zero-emissions from newly constructed buildings by 2030
- Transition all of Washington's government fleets to zero-emissions by 2040
But making verbal commitments is easy. Now's the trickier part -- working side-by-side to make sure that our local, state, and federal governments do the hard work to save our species from extinction.
We can only build a movement strong enough to hold even the highest levels of government to account with your help. Will you chip in $10 right now, before our end-of-month deadline at midnight tonight?
Thank you for all you do.
Very truly yours,
Jay
