I have some news to share. I’m in Washington this week and I’m hearing from good sources that Jeff Sessions is close to announcing a run for U.S. Senate against my friend Senator Doug Jones.

Jeff Sessions was not fit to be Attorney General, and he’s certainly not fit to return to the Senate. We must do everything we can to ensure he never serves another day in the Senate.

Will you step up and split a $3 donation between Senator Jones’s re-election and my campaign? Winning this race is critical to our effort to flip the Senate in 2020.

Jeff Sessions’s terrible record is decades old. As Coretta Scott King noted in her 1986 letter to the Senate, he used his power as a U.S. Attorney “to chill the free exercise of the vote by black citizens.” And we cannot forget that it was Jeff Sessions’s decision as AG to declare a zero-tolerance policy at the border that created the family-separation crisis.

Look, there are plenty of reasons we should do everything we can to stop Jeff Sessions, but I think it’s important to add just how great of a candidate and person Senator Jones is.

As a lawyer, Doug took on the KKK and won. And he has taken tough votes in the Senate. He’s stood with with us when it has mattered most, like voting against Brett Kavanaugh.

So right now, we need to have his back. What do you say?
