Dear John,

After two years of working behind-the-scenes with the UK’s top 10 supermarkets to advise them on how to tackle pesticides in their supply chains, our 2021 supermarket ranking finally launched today.

Around 44% of farmers and agricultural workers (385 million people) are poisoned every year. Pesticides are also playing a major role in the nature crisis. Supermarkets dominate supply chains and are in a powerful position to drive positive change globally.

While some UK supermarkets are doing much better than others, they could all be doing more to protect the health of farmers, wildlife and the natural environment. They could also be doing more to reduce the amount of pesticide residues in your food.

SEE THE RANKING
Many of you sent messages to supermarkets after the first ranking in 2019 and it really encouraged the supermarkets to make big changes, but there is still much left to do. With your help we can really gain momentum and inspire them to do more. Please do take the online action and share it with friends and family.
