Need ACLU Supporter's help to reach our goal before tomorrow.

GIVING 52UESDAY: 1 DAY. $1 MILLION. 52X IMPACT.

Friend –

At the ACLU, we know what starts in state legislatures often end up in courts, in Congress, and all the way to the Supreme Court – ultimately deciding the kind of country we live in.

That's why the extreme number of state attacks against people's rights that we've seen crop up over the last year should alarm all of us.

And it's why from now until midnight tonight, we're focused on one crucial goal for our Giving 52uesday campaign: $1 million to fuel our work for civil liberties across all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico. Can you join our efforts with an urgent donation right now?

If you want a clearer picture of how harmful state measures can impact our rights nationwide, then consider the landscape of reproductive freedom: Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will consider whether to overturn Roe v. Wade in a case involving Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban – challenged by the Center for Reproductive Rights.

We likely won't know the outcome of that decision for months. But there's no doubt, anti-abortion advocates have been galvanized by their hope that the Court could eliminate the constitutional right to abortion.

The ACLU is fighting back. In the last two months alone, we've brought our lawsuit, filed with a broad coalition, against Texas' extreme bounty-hunting abortion ban to SCOTUS twice. We challenged – and immediately blocked – Arkansas' near-total abortion ban. And we have 20-plus other challenges to abortion restrictions that we will continue to pursue.

But, the fact is, abortion access is not the only freedom at stake right now: state legislatures are also pursuing bills that restrict voting rights, attack trans youth, ban anti-racist education, and more.

Their aim is clear: They are trying to overwhelm us with the sheer number of attacks. Luckily, we've been preparing for this moment for years, ACLU Supporter. We have teams of lawyers and advocates in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico ready to work harder than ever to protect people's rights. And together, we've built the strongest ACLU in our over 100-year history. Now, it's time to show them our strength – starting with today's campaign to raise $1 million in 1 day.

Please, this is an all-hands-on-deck moment: Show you're with us by making your Giving 52uesday donation today.
