Here is an example of how your gift will make a difference: This past October, The Sentencing Project worked with our state partners to gather hundreds of people, including lawmakers, incarcerated people and their loved ones, judges, faith leaders, and community members to rally for an end to death by incarceration in Michigan. As a result, Michigan Senators Jeff Irwin and Stephanie Chang promised to introduce legislation that will give people serving extreme sentences the opportunity for a second chance. We can’t lose this important momentum. In the coming year, we have an ambitious plan to provide even more assistance to our partners at the state and local level as they push for reform - but we need your help to power our work. |
