Dear Friend,
This #GivingTuesday, MediaJustice reflects on a year of resilience. We began 2021 with an armed insurrection and we close out the year continuing to navigate the dual pandemics of COVID-19 and racial injustice that continue to claim the lives of our people.
Ever since our work began two decades ago at the Highlander Research and Education Center, we have known that though the forces we are fighting will change, our imperative will remain the same.
Despite the challenges of 2021, our Network members and grassroots community leaders made major gains in the fight for freedom in the digital age. We strategized and organized against tech giants like Facebook and Amazon, and battled against insidious technologies like electronic monitoring.
After a year of hard work and struggle, we are taking time to rest and reflect. And as we contemplate all that we have lost and gained this year, we ask that you consider a donation to the work that lies ahead in 2022.
