I’d imagine you have already received a number of emails from people like me today; perhaps a few are somewhat lengthy. After all, we development folks only get one day a year in the limelight – Giving Tuesday.
This one will be brief. We are not doing a Giving Tuesday Campaign, at least not in the traditional sense. Instead of passing the plate around, dear reader, we are devoting today to expressing our gratitude to you for supporting the mission and work of First Things.
Thank you for reading what we publish, for passing it on to others, and for supporting us with charitable contributions. Thank you for discussing the ideas we proffer, even (especially) when you disagree. Thank you for your part in making First Things greater than the sum of its readership – a genuine community seeking the Good, the True, and the Beautiful together.
