Friend, I'm falling $8,650 short of my crucial end-of-month fundraising goal – and to put it bluntly, I'm worried we won't have the resources to defend this seat and Democratic Senate control going into 2022. Please allow me just a moment to explain why we can't let this happen:

First, we learned through congressional investigations that Donald Trump tried to fire his acting attorney general in the months after the 2020 election and replace him with a partisan loyalist who would help Trump weaponize the Department of Justice to overturn Joe Biden's victory.

Then, further investigation revealed that many of Trump's family members, members of Congress, and go-to accomplices – such as Steve Bannon – were potentially complicit in Trump's scheme to overturn our fair and free elections and keep himself in power.

Now, we have a reminder of the sort of corrupt, crony-filled government Trump and his allies ran and would run again if allowed to regain power: The Trump administration granted $100 MILLION to a federal agency, run by a college friend of Jared Kushner, to allegedly fix supply chain issues caused by the pandemic. But according to a new government watchdog report, NONE of that money was invested or produced results. The taxpayer dollars went to Kushner's buddy's agency and then apparently never made it out. And we are all now experiencing the failure of this "investment" as supply chain issues continue to pose challenges for businesses and customers, alike.

Friend, the Republican Party is completely beholden to Donald Trump and his toxic brand of corruption, obstruction, and dangerous conspiracy theories. Promises made that are not kept. Personal "deals' struck that do not help the American people. Keeping Senate control away from this extremist party means competing in and winning every race we can, and to do that, we must hit every single fundraising goal.

So before my end-of-month deadline, can I count on you to rush $10 or more so I have the resources to win this Senate seat and protect Democratic Senate control?
