This year, we won the fight that AQE was founded to win: the fight for adequate and equitable resources for New York’s low income Black and Brown children. But the fight for equity does not stop here. AQE will continue to be on the front lines advocating for students: in working to reform school discipline codes, for culturally responsive curricula and police-free schools, for better access to childcare and universal pre-K for working families.
