During the pandemic, rule of law has declined in more than 70% of the countries we studied.

The World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Index 2021 paints a stark picture. Authoritarianism, corruption, and discrimination are all rising. Civil liberties, media freedom, and access to justice are shrinking globally.

The pandemic has accelerated negative trends that largely emerged before COVID-19.

At the World Justice Project, we are working to reverse the dangerous decline in rule of law.

Our independent, survey-based data and insights provide compelling evidence for the change we need. And through our support of a global network of rule of law stakeholders, we are making that change happen.

This Giving Tuesday, support the worldwide rule of law movement with a gift to WJP.

With your help, we can move the world beyond recovery, to a more just future.
