John,
Every day that passes is another day that the Big Money interests try to weaken or kill President Biden’s agenda. But, through grassroots pressure, we’re fighting back―demanding corporate Democrats pass the Build Back Better Act, which lowers costs for working people, won’t increase inflation, and finally makes the rich and corporations start paying their fair share.
With the Senate back in town, we need your help running our latest ad to get Senator Joe Manchin―the biggest remaining Democratic hold-out―on board.
Will you pitch in today to apply massive public pressure to Joe Manchin and all corporate Democrats―and demand they stop standing in the way of President Biden’s agenda?
We’re on the verge of unrigging our tax code and making investments in the American people not seen in our lifetime. Together, this is a fight we can win.
Thank you,

John,
This week, the Senate returns to Washington, DC and will begin work on passing the Build Back Better Act―which will lower working people’s costs that have been too high for years, including lowering the cost of healthcare, childcare, elder care, rent, prescription drugs and more.
In order to pass this critical legislation that will help working families―and which makes the rich and corporations pay their fair share―we need every single Democrat on board, including Senator Joe Manchin who has still yet to commit to voting for the Build Back Better Act.
In order to hold Manchin and other corporate Democrats accountable, we’ve produced our latest ad, which rallies the American people around the benefits of the Build Back Better Act―and reminds folks how it won’t increase inflation at all.
Pitch in today to run this ad across the country and bring massive public pressure on Joe Manchin and every single corporate Democrat to vote YES on President Biden’s agenda.
Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) has at least two problems with the bill that passed the House last week. First, he has not disavowed an earlier pledge that he made to some Senate colleagues that he wants to use the $400 billion in revenue that will be raised by the IRS cracking down on wealthy tax cheats to go toward deficit reduction. We believe those funds should be used to help lower the costs of healthcare, childcare, education, housing and more for working families, as passed in the House bill.
Second, Manchin is opposed to enacting the first-ever federal paid family leave program, as part of this legislation. Paid leave will give a boost to our economy and to working families, allowing more people to return to work―while also having the necessary flexibility to care for oneself and one’s family. And, we know we can pay for this by having the rich and corporations start paying their fair share in taxes.
Together, we’re holding Joe Manchin and corporate Democrats accountable, demanding they stop standing in the way of President Biden’s agenda. Donate today to help run our latest ad, which reminds the American people of how the Build Back Better Act lowers costs for working people, won’t increase inflation, and finally makes the rich and corporations start paying their fair share.
