Dear Friend,
I’m sure you’ve received a million and one emails today announcing Giving Tuesday, but we’re grateful you’ve decided to open ours. We have a project that we are really passionate about and need your help to expand it. Today, we’re raising money for the Survivor Reentry Project to help survivors who have arrests or convictions related to their trafficking experience.

I think this is something everyone can agree on: trafficking survivors should not be punished for crimes they were forced to commit. Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence. Trafficking survivors across the US have been arrested. But there’s a way to help survivors who get caught up in the criminal system: The Survivor Reentry Project. This project is the only national program dedicated to criminal record relief for survivors of human trafficking. We work with both survivors and service providers to help clear criminal records and advocate for comprehensive record relief laws.
Access to criminal record relief is critical for survivors. Having a record prevents survivors from getting jobs, finding housing, accessing education, applying for immigration, and more. It also serves as a constant reminder of their traumatic past and prevents survivors from moving forward with their lives.
This is why we are asking for your help today. Survivors have already been victimized by their traffickers. They don’t need to be further victimized by the criminal legal system. Help survivors clear their criminal records. Donate today.
