Hi —

Giving Tuesday is here! While we know you’ll be getting a ton of messages throughout the day, we are asking you to step up and help us fight for our shared environment here in Pennsylvania.

The threats to our environment, our public health, and our democracy are truly unprecedented this year. Pro-polluter legislators in the state House and Senate have attempted time and time again to pass policies that would block Pennsylvania from joining a regional carbon reduction program that would be our most ambitious action to address climate change to date. And they have consistently beat the drum of misinformation about “election fraud” as a way to disenfranchise voters of color and low-income voters.

We need to be ready for what comes next. Giving Tuesday is our chance to come together and power this movement to keep fighting in 2022, and we’ve set an ambitious goal of raising $10,000 by midnight.

Can you help us reach our goal by chipping in with a donation? Any amount helps [[link removed]]

While we never stopped holding lawmakers accountable and fought back against a surge of attacks on our environment and our democracy in 2021, we also met the moment with new and innovative programming:
• We launched a massive new program advocating for the federal Build Back Better Act, empowering our members to contact their representatives in congress over 3,000 times;
• We ran a brand new kind of canvass that focused on learning more about what “split ticket” voters care about and how we can do a better job of getting them to consistently vote for environmental champions up and down the ballot;
• And we piloted a new program to identify tens of thousands of new pro-environment residents in Northeastern parts of the state who could potentially galvanize bold local and state policy change.

We need to make these kinds of investment year after year to keep winning in Pennsylvania and put every level of government in the hands of pro-environment leaders.

And there are some critical legislative fights coming up in 2022 that we need your help to prepare for. From getting Pennsylvania to join the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative so that we can clean up our air and stave off climate change, to getting the Build Back Better Act through its next hurdle in the Senate, we simply can’t do this work without the support of key members like YOU.

Friend, this is our moment to gather our resources and prepare ourselves for the extraordinary challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Please do your part and make a donation this Giving Tuesday to help us keep fighting for a healthy environment and democracy [[link removed]]

Your generosity does not go unnoticed. Thanks for all that you do.
