Dear friends,
Today is #GivingTuesday [[link removed]], a time for people to give to their causes and communities. Because of your support last #GivingTuesday and all year long, ASAN is able to continue to work towards the full inclusion of autistic people through our programs, our publications, and our policy advocacy.
Because of your support this year, we have been able to:
- Host our second virtual and 10th overall Autism Campus Inclusion [[link removed]] summer leadership academy, helping the next generation of autistic leaders learn advocacy skills they can use on and off campus.
- Create accessible resources about the COVID-19 vaccine [[link removed]] so everyone has the information they need to protect themselves and their communities
- Release many different accessible toolkits, exploring topics from quality measures and control over community services [[link removed]] to telling your story for a political purpose [[link removed]] to fighting for fairness in the autistic community and beyond [[link removed]].
- And as always, continue to fight for the rights of all disabled people: our right to access health care, our right to communicate, and our right to live in the community.
Everyone can have an impact on #GivingTuesday! Join us to support advocacy by autistic people for autistic people. Are you with us? [[link removed]]
Another great way to support us today is with a Facebook fundraiser [[link removed]]! They’re easy to set up and share with your friends [[link removed]], and you don’t have to contribute yourself if you’re not able to. After that, tweet us at @autselfadvocacy so we can spread the word!
We also have an assortment of holiday merch in our shop [[link removed]]. With holiday cards, warm sweaters, and all sorts of gifts, we’ve got something for everyone on your list! It’s a great way to support us while showing your autistic pride.
By joining us for Giving Tuesday, you’re helping us get ready for the year ahead, as we continue to fight for a world in which all people with disabilities are included, valued, and empowered to make our own decisions. Your support [[link removed]] enables us to make sure all people with disabilities have the tools we need to make our voices heard .
With gratitude,
The Team at ASAN
