With an expanded staff looking at federal AND state-level data, we now deliver unparalleled and independent insights into campaign finance, dark money spending, foreign influence and every other area of our politics and policy where money can be found.
We have been cited 35,000 times in the press and news. Our websites have been visited by over 8 million users this year, and our staff has responded to 1,000+ unique data requests from journalists and academics, serving as a force multiplier for their critical work.
OpenSecrets is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and we work diligently to spend our resources wisely. But the reality is that our foundation support does not cover all the costs required to bring you the exceptional tools and information you need.
