Since the Wilson Center was established by Congressional charter more than fifty years ago, we have stood as a nonpartisan institution, dedicated to actionable ideas and open dialogue on some of our toughest problems.

During my tenure here thus far, I have witnessed the historical impact our scholarship has made, and I have been struck by our ability to address some of the most pressing, most complicated foreign policy challenges facing America and the world.

For example, in the face of global displacement crises, the Wilson Center has gathered the experiences and insights of leaders and refugees alike in our latest edition of the Wilson Quarterly. This publication highlights this new priority, Humanity in Motion, to address all facets of this urgent and growing challenge. Looking ahead, we will also build out our focus on other cross-cutting issues, from trade and diplomacy, to global alliances.
