Hi friend, I’m writing to you today about history in the making. My friend Val Demings is on the cusp of becoming the first Black U.S. Senator from Florida, but she can't do it without our help.

Florida Senate races are always close – the last one was won by just 0.12% of the vote. And as a born-and-raised Floridian who has dedicated her professional life to fighting for working families, Val Demings has a great shot at winning. It's clear her message is resonating with voters – but she's still down 2 points in a recent poll. 

CNN is calling Florida a top pickup opportunity – but the problem is, the GOP is quickly coming to the rescue. The Senate Republican campaign arm has raised $76 MILLION this year that they'll be able to pour into attack ads against Val Demings. And the RNC has already funneled $10 million into Florida to register a record-breaking number of GOP voters to stop Val Demings or any other Democrat from winning again. 

That's why I'm reaching out: I know that Val Demings is a tough, dedicated leader who has what it takes to flip Florida blue. But she needs resources right now to reach more voters, so I am asking you personally: Will you donate to her grassroots campaign, friend?

If you can spare $25 or even $5, please contribute now to help Val Demings flip Florida blue. She's facing an uphill battle against a powerful incumbent, but I know she can flip this seat if thousands of grassroots supporters like you come together to give her campaign the early resources it takes to win.

Val Demings knows the value of hard work. Her mom was a maid and her dad was a janitor. She told me once that her parents taught her to "never tire of doing good." It's clear that she carries that lesson with her to this day – working tirelessly in the House to expand opportunities for families like her own.

If Val Demings is elected, she'll not only make history – she'll expand our Democratic Senate majority and get right to work passing President Biden's bold agenda to build back better. I couldn't be more excited to work alongside her, but she can't win without your support.

The stakes are too high to sit this one out, friend. With Senate control on the line, will you donate $5 to help Val Demings flip Florida blue? I know she has what it takes to win, but she urgently needs more funding right now to catch up to Marco Rubio.
