It’s here! Today is Giving Tuesday―a global event celebrating the power of generosity to change the world. We’re kicking off an entire week of giving, and before the end of this email we’re going to ask you to donate and help us meet our $30,000 match. But first, we want to share some exciting news.

This month is our five-year anniversary, and we’ve been thinking a lot about the incredible gains we’ve made building state power over the last half-decade. But we also know that Republicans are energized and laser-focused on winning back majorities in Congress and state legislatures across the country, so there’s still a lot of work we must do.

The next five years will be even more critical for the health of our democracy than the last. That’s why today we are thrilled to announce our Five-Year Fund―part of our ambitious strategy to build long-term progressive power in every part of the state legislative ecosystem.

Every dollar you donate will go towards expanding our work over the next five years, including:

Organizing our 60,000+ grassroots volunteers across the country to provide field and fundraising support to the highest value state legislative races.
Providing campaign services free of charge to candidates, including strategic consulting on campaign plans and budget development, vendor and staff management, paid communications, and more.
Training newly-elected legislators on best practices, governance techniques, and strategies for being effective legislators in purple districts.
Preparing exceptional former candidates to run for office again, building the pipeline of progressive talent at the state level.
Conducting academic-quality experiments to determine the highest impact tactics for our work, from voter registration to persuasion to turnout.
Partnering with and funding community-based organizations that do year-round organizing in our target states.
Working with high school and college student organizers and campus affiliates to train the next generation of organizers on field tactics, voter messaging, budgeting, and more.

Right now, thanks to several generous donors, every grassroots donation will be doubled up to $15,000. Donate by the end of this week to help us unlock our $30,000 match and fund our power-building work over the next five years!
