- Fighting to End the Dog Meat Trade in S. Korea - LCA and sister organization, ALW, released an 8-month investigation into facilities associated with the Moran Market, the "Mecca of Dog Meat". Narrated by actress and activist Kim Basinger, the investigation documented ongoing patterns of animal abuse in violation of S. Korea's animal protection laws and cruelty complaints have been filed. As a result of the investigation and subsequent slaughterhouse raid, nine dogs were rescued. Learn more.
- Saving Mountain Gorillas in Virunga - LCA is the major supporter to Virunga National Park's AirWing Program. Because the Park is so massive and foot patrols working alone would have little hope of surveilling the area, Virunga's AirWing Unit are the "eyes in the sky" and the best line of defense that gorillas and ground rangers have. In 2021, construction was completed on a new fortified hangar and Rangers' barracks and a second BatHawk aircraft also joined the AirWing fleet. Learn more.
- The Pet Safety and Protection Act (PSPA) - LCA is working to pass the PSPA - bipartisan federal legislation that would permanently stop lost and stolen companion animals from being sold to research facilities.
