Double your impact for Giving Tuesday No images? Click here John, The strides we made for Washington’s environment and communities this year were astonishing. With environmental champions leading the way we have been able to do things like secure a Clean Fuel Standard, push back against fossil fuel terminals, and update stormwater systems. But all of this progress can be lost if we don’t continue to win during legislative session and at the ballot. With your support we have made it clear to elected leaders that they need to protect our communities from harmful pollution, take action on climate, protect habitat critical to ecosystems, expand our democracy, and center environmental justice. 2022 is going to be a critical year for the environment. Starting with legislative session and then into critical elections throughout the state, the stakes are going to be high next year and with your support WCV will continue to fight for our communities and environment. The 2022 election cycle got more complicated, when the Redistricting Commission failed to meet its deadline for drawing new political district maps for our state. Now redistricting moves to the State Supreme Court and they have until April to come up with new maps. This means the election season will be compressed and WCV needs to be prepared to rapidly engage with these new political districts. . We have to move quickly to reduce climate pollution and protect and restore the frontline communities already feeling the effects of the climate crisis. And we have to put in a place policies that reflects our values and invests in a healthier future for Washington. You’ve helped us achieve so much. Together, we can build on the wins we’ve earned. On this national day of giving we hope you will take this opportunity to contribute to WCV and help us protect the Washington we all care about. Thank you, Lennon Lennon Bronsema P.S.
