Today is #GivingTuesday and I’m writing with a radical message: we don’t want your money today. No, really, it’s true.
Giving Tuesday began as a simple idea in 2012: a day that encourages people to do good. The day is rooted in "a global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.”
At its core, giving is about our shared humanity and generosity. That's why I encourage you to give today in any way that is meaningful to you.
Whether it’s giving someone a genuine smile, practicing radical kindness, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or person you care about, mobilizing civic participation, offering the gift of time or donating some of your treasure to charity – every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.
On behalf of all of us here at the Badger Institute, wishing you the best as you make the most out of this global day of giving.
