John: Today is Giving Tuesday, and Ceres has set a goal to recruit 100 donors by midnight.

Can you help us get there?

I first heard about Ceres when I was getting organized about my own philanthropy and sought out a climate organization that prioritized engagement of capital market leaders. That’s Ceres’ approach—and it struck me as logical, effective and poised to make a unique impact to address climate change and other key sustainability challenges.

15 years later, I’m writing as the Chair of Ceres’ Board of Directors, and I’ve just made my Giving Tuesday gift.

I’m asking you now to join me and make your 100% tax-deductible gift by midnight’s deadline.

We can’t move the needle on climate change fast enough if we just act company-by-company, investor-by-investor.

Which is why our new initiative, Ceres Ambition 2030, is designed to meet the urgency of this moment by tackling six of the highest emitting sectors of the economy—from banking, to energy, to agriculture and beyond—to make real progress on the climate solutions we need to build a just and sustainable future for everyone.

But time is running out. If we didn’t know it before (we did), the IPCC report left little to interpret with their stark “Code Red” alert this year. We need your help.

It can be difficult to follow news concerning climate change and not feel pessimistic. But John, I’m writing this email because I know there is reason for optimism!

I’ve stepped in to get Ceres ready for 2022, and I’m hoping you can too on this Giving Tuesday.

Together, we can create an economy that works for ALL of us. We need 100 supporters by midnight—we don’t have a moment to lose.
