John,
It’s Giving Tuesday, which means one thing: we have until midnight tonight to reach our $25,000 match goal. If that’s all you need to know, you can click here to make a matched donation.
If you need a few reasons why, we’ve got them:
-
CREW’s fight for accountability and answers for the January 6 insurrection hasn’t stopped—even nearly a year later. We continue to obtain new documents from federal agencies, track corporate contributions to the Sedition Caucus and build public pressure for a thorough investigation.
-
We’re not just focused on the insurrection, either. We’re still fighting for accountability for all the Trump administration’s abuses—like Freedom of Information Act investigations into Mike Pompeo’s Madison Dinners, Steven Mnuchin’s use of taxpayer-funded travel to set up his post-administration investment fund, and the law enforcement response to racial justice protests in 2020.
-
We’re also hard at work advancing democracy and ethics reform in Congress. We’re pressing for action on the Freedom to Vote Act, helping shape legislation on judicial ethics and building support for campaign finance reform.
If you want to make sure all that work can continue, then I hope you’ll consider making a matched donation today. We only have until midnight tonight to reach our $25,000 matching goal, which will help set us up for success for months to come.
If you can’t donate today, you can still help us reach our goal! You can forward this email to friends who might be looking for some worthy causes to donate to today, or you can share our fundraiser on Facebook.
No matter what, supporters like you are key to our fight for ethics, transparency, and a strong democracy.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
President, CREW
P.S. If you’re a federal employee or retiree, you can also make a Giving Tuesday pledge through the CFC! Our CFC number is 42218, and you can give here.
