Can you imagine fleeing your home in hopes of finding safety? Thousands of migrants have made that courageous journey. But many spend months in overcrowded shelters or temporary camps. And many are deported without a hearing, forced back to the dangerous conditions they fled.
That’s where the AFSC community comes in. Together, we provide humanitarian and legal aid to thousands of people each year. We are so grateful to supporters like you for helping to make that possible!
This Giving Tuesday, help fund peaceful action for a just world.
In Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras, caring people like you help ensure migrants have access to food, water, hygiene kits, and more. You help us staff human rights brigades that monitor conditions in detention centers. And you help us provide important accompaniment and advocacy for migrants as well.
In the U.S., we are helping immigrants in detention access legal representation and win their cases. We are providing vital support to communities. And we are campaigning for better immigration policies nationwide.
In the past year, the AFSC community has helped people in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East find COVID-protective equipment and meet essential needs. We’ve helped Afghans apply for visas and find safety. We’ve helped people in New Orleans recover after Hurricane Ida. We’ve helped stop abuses in a notorious New Jersey prison. And so much more.
Thank you for supporting our work!
In peace, Joyce Ajlouny
