After my abortion, I breathed a huge sigh of relief.

All in all, it was uneventful. I was a junior in college at the time and found a doctor in the yellow pages. I went to an office with my boyfriend, and the procedure was painless. I didn't have to drive far, nobody provided me with misinformation, and there was no waiting period.

Decades later, I still have no regrets. And I still have gratitude that I was able to make the decision that was right for me, and to become a parent when I was ready. I am now the proud mother of two children with my husband of more than 25 years.
