In case you're wondering about the importance of your gift, here's how NCGV will make the MOST of your generous contribution: - Advocating for funding for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) programs. We worked in coalition with our partners to educate the Governor’s Crime Commission about the importance of these programs. CVI programs are now one of their funding priorities. This is big news since they distribute millions of dollars in grant funding.
- Researching and developing fact sheets on gun violence here in NC that are used to educate lawmakers and the public on the importance and impact of gun safety laws.
- Fighting against dangerous bills like HB 398, the repeal of the Pistol Purchase Permitting system. We advocated with lawmakers to sustain Governor Cooper's veto and countered myths that this is a racist system.
