John: Are you having one of those nights (or early mornings) where there's too much on your mind to sleep? For me, I just can't stop thinking about what's happening in Afghanistan and how right now, there are so many children (around 1 million….) who are facing starvation. It's unfathomable.

I think about their parents too. Nearly all of the moms coming into IRC-run health clinics across Afghanistan are rushing their children in to get urgent help for malnutrition.

It really is going to take all of us to avert a catastrophe. Right now, the IRC is on the frontlines of this crisis — and others worldwide — providing life-changing care to the people who need it most. But we need your help.

John, you can be one of the first to donate to the IRC's Giving Tuesday campaign today and have your gift matched. Can you help kick off this critical day for children and families in Afghanistan and others in crisis around the world?

Because your gift will be matched today, it can help nourish even more children worldwide. It can help the IRC deploy even more mobile medical teams to reach families in hard-to-reach places. It can help us provide even more community health workers with the training they need to diagnose malnourishment.

Plain and simple: Today your gift helps even more. That's why I'm hoping you'll step up early with a gift that will be MATCHED. Please make your Giving Tuesday donation right now >>

Thank you for starting your Giving Tuesday with a gift to help children and families caught in crises. Our work with refugees around the world is only possible because of people like you donating what they can.
