Midterm elections, historically, are an uphill battle for the party in power. With the presidency missing from the ballot, voter turnout and enthusiasm typically drop no matter which party is in charge.

So, while Congressional Democrats, President Biden, and Michael overcame GOP obstruction to pass the American Rescue Plan which included the expanded Child Tax Credit that’s kept three million kids out of poverty; the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act with Michael’s broadband, and climate change provisions; and more — Michael’s re-election and the 2022 midterms are shaping up to be tight.

Michael is no stranger to a tough race. He won his last midterm election by just 1.7 points. And he was able to make it across the finish line thanks to a base of strong grassroots supporters like you. That’s how we know 2022 isn’t a done deal for the GOP — even though they’ve been suggesting they think it is — and with your help, we can counteract attacks against Michael’s record, build up momentum, and win.
