NAFCU's Regulatory Compliance Counsel Reginald Watson gives an overview of the NCUA's Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) review observations in a new post on the Compliance Blog. The NCUA gave an update of its 2019 examination activities during the Federal Reserve's 2019 Fair Lending Interagency Webinar.
Two bills to increase NCUA transparency advanced out of committee [ [link removed] ]
Two of the bills advanced by the House Financial Services Committee this week would require the NCUA to provide more information to Congress on a regular basis. While one bill requires an update on the agency's general supervisory and regulatory efforts, the other hones in on cybersecurity.

Today is the last day credit unions can save 40 percent off webinars dedicated to strengthening credit unions' risk management. The special webinar package tackles key issues such as the current expected credit loss (CECL) standard and internal fraud.
NCUA bans 2 from future work in FIs [ [link removed] ]
The NCUA in October issued two prohibition notices, which bar individuals previously associated with credit unions from any future participation in the affairs of a federally insured financial institution.
