California Has Become a Congressional Battleground
- Los Angeles Times
I won't mince words, John.
I'm one of the most vulnerable House Democrats up for reelection in 2022. At least three GOP challengers in my district are working to out-Trump each other. Meanwhile, I've spent the last year introducing and passing legislation to end offshore drilling, deliver economic support for working families and businesses, and bring millions of dollars for infrastructure projects here in South Orange and San Diego Counties.
The Los Angeles Times is saying that Democrats' chances of defending our razor-thin House Majority depends on keeping key House seats in California blue. My district is at the top of that list, which is why National Republicans are going all in to defeat me with help from their dark money super PACs.
I'm confident we can win, but since I've pledged to reject corporate PAC money, keeping this district blue depends on support from individual supporters like you. That's why I'm reaching out today:
Will you give $3 or more so we can hit our end-of-month fundraising goal, keep CA-49 blue, and defend our Democratic House Majority?
