I'm about to ask you for $20, John – but first, let me explain why I need you to contribute right now:
Because of a special legislative session, I won't be able to fundraise from early December all the way through March. That means I need to raise $150,000 this week to make it through the fundraising blackout, but I'm really far behind and I can only get back on track if you donate now.
Our grassroots movement is boldly pushing New Mexico toward a brighter future. In the past three years, we've slashed taxes for working families, invested in our schools and educators, and took a huge step to end the war on drugs by legalizing cannabis.
But we can only keep up this momentum if we elect Democrats down the ballot in New Mexico. If our state flips red, our future could look less like the progressive vision you and I share and more like the far-right extremism we've seen next door in Texas.
With a fundraising blackout right around the corner, my finance team is warning me that if we have to hit our fundraising goals this month. Otherwise, we'll have to make some tough calls regarding our voter outreach program right when the election is heating up.
I need to go into this fundraising blackout strong, so I'm reaching out to my strongest supporters for help. Your $20 is all we need to get back on track to hit our goal and continue working on our bold, progressive agenda for New Mexico. Please, John, I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important:
I'm counting on you to help me get back on track. Will you donate $20 right now to keep New Mexico blue?
Thank you for everything you do to keep New Mexico blue. None of my work is possible without your support.
