I fully intend to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley (R) in Iowa, John – but I need you with me. Here's the latest:

First, the momentum is on the side of our campaign. More than two-thirds of Iowa voters don't want to reelect Sen. Grassley, which means we have a unique opportunity and advantage that we must harness to flip this Senate seat blue.

But defeating Sen. Grassley – in what the Des Moines Register is calling a "marquee match up" – will come down to resources, and the campaign arm of the Senate Republicans is sitting on $27 million in the bank. They are well equipped to protect vulnerable incumbents like Sen. Grassley and attack challengers like me.

So right now, ahead of our end-of-month fundraising deadline, my friends at The Majority Rules PAC and I need to raise another $25,000 to hit our goal. This is a grassroots campaign, and hitting these goals and building up resources is how we will flip Iowa blue.
