I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends! Right now, I’m getting back into the swing of things to finish out the month, and I can’t help but reflect on what a great November it’s been for Texas Democrats. Democrats passed a historic infrastructure bill that will benefit millions of Americans; Texans had a huge gubernatorial announcement; and we've seen tons of Democrats across the state officially launch their local campaigns. What a month!

This month started off with a bang when Congress passed the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, with $35 billion coming to Texas. This means better and safer roads, expanded internet access, and overdue weatherization to protect us against the growing threat of extreme weather caused by climate change. Texans can thank the strong leadership of President Biden and Democrats in Congress for this historic legislation.

On November 13, we kicked off the candidate filing period for the March 2022 primary elections. We’ve already seen some incredible candidates adding their name to the ballot, and the filing period is only halfway through. Securing Democratic leadership in every corner of our state starts with recruiting strong leaders who are up for the challenge. We know there are great Texans running for office at all levels of the ballot right now.

We also saw the national spotlight back on Texas with Beto O’Rourke joining the race to defeat Governor Abbott in 2022. In 2018, Beto showed the country how much potential there is for change in our state -- change that is long overdue. With Beto in the race, we’re gearing up for the fight of our lives: the battle to defeat Greg Abbott and create a better future for every Texan.

Friend, it’s been a busy month, but this is only the beginning. We have less than a year to build a Democratic groundswell, so that on Election Day, we can vote in Democratic leadership up and down the ballot all across our state. Can we count on you to rush $7 before our critical end-of-month deadline to continue building on the momentum we’ve gained this month?
