Two weeks ago, the House passed President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better Act. Now, Senate Democrats must quickly pass this important, transformative legislation, which would provide some of the biggest investments in our communities—including universal pre-K, expanded health care coverage, and investments to combat climate change—in more than a generation.
But Senator Joe Manchin and Senator Kyrsten Sinema are threatening to derail this historic legislation. Corporate lobbyists are working day and night to persuade Manchin and Sinema to obstruct President Biden’s agenda. But while they have money, we have people power.
Will you join us to make calls from your home to MoveOn members in West Virginia and Arizona this Wednesday, December 1, 5-7:30 p.m. ET/2-4:30 p.m. PT, to ensure that Senators Manchin and Sinema vote yes to pass a bold, progressive Build Back Better package? These are fun, friendly calls to MoveOn members who share our values, and they could make a huge impact on the passage of the Build Back Better Act.
There are tens of thousands of MoveOn members across Arizona and West Virginia who share our values. Like you and me, they believe health care is a human right, climate change is real and demands bold action now, and all families should have access to pre-K. They are ready to mobilize to make sure Senators Manchin and Sinema do the right thing and vote yes to pass a bold, progressive Build Back Better package, but they need our help.
That’s why we are calling MoveOn members in West Virginia and Arizona to encourage them to contact Senators Manchin and Sinema so that these corporate Democrats feel the pressure from their constituents.

Senators Manchin and Sinema need to know their constituents support the Build Back Better Agenda and expect their senators to stop obstructing this historic legislation any further.
Senators Manchin and Sinema won’t be persuaded by out-of-state folks like you and me. That’s why it is critical they hear from their constituents in West Virginia and Arizona so they know that the pressure is on. Fortunately, our phone bank party on Wednesday is the best way you can use your time and energy effectively: calling the tens of thousands of MoveOn members in these states directly, to ask them to put constituent pressure on Senators Manchin and Sinema.
