On Tuesday, it was reported that Sweden is integrating the U.S. Patriot missile defense system into its military forces. The integration of this new system signals a new era in Swedish defense, making it one of the non-NATO partners to operate a Patriot system.

Also on Tuesday, it was reported that a Chinese hypersonic weapon released its own payload in a test earlier this year. The purpose of the ejection is not clear at this time.

On Thursday, the USS Arleigh Burke guided-missile destroyer began its route to the Black Sea in order to operate alongside NATO allies and partners in the region.

On Monday, the Russian military announced a successful test of a prospective hypersonic cruise missile in the White Sea. The Zircon cruise missile is expected to enter service next year.

Also on Monday, Army Recognition published that Russia plans to supply Myanmar with Pantsir-S1 air defense missile systems.
