If Democrats are going to win this race, we have to try something different in North Carolina. We need a candidate and campaign that can speak to the hopes and needs of our people if we are going to mobilize and excite the diverse coalition of voters required to win.
That’s exactly what I intend to do. As your next Senator, I will listen and fight for your family. When it comes to lowering health care and prescription drug costs, taking aggressive action on climate change, protecting voting rights, raising the minimum wage to $15 and more, I will be proud to vote Yes on behalf of all North Carolinians.
But this type of campaign will require us to build the largest people-powered movement our state has seen. So I’ve put my faith in this grassroots team.
It makes a true difference when each of us pitches in just a bit. Like earlier this month when a teacher from Greenville named Julie chipped in $20. Then Troy, a social worker from Raleigh, donated $100, and a grad student from Hillsborough named Mary started a new $10 recurring donation. Now they’re all counting on you to join them before tomorrow’s fundraising deadline.
