John,
Just this month alone, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act was signed into law and Diana and the House majority voted to pass the Build Back Better Act. Both of these packages are historic investments in our nation and represent the two most critical pieces of President Biden's Build Back Better Agenda.
But while Diana's fighting for American families, Congressional Republicans are focused on reclaiming the House majority in 2022 -- and Kevin McCarthy and his allies have shown just how extreme they are this month.
McCarthy and a majority of House Republicans stood by extreme Congressman Paul Gosar after he posted a vile video depicting the murder of another member of Congress. In the same week, the same Republicans who defended Gosar have discussed punishing the 13 GOP members who backed the bipartisan infrastructure bill.
If Kevin McCarthy takes back control of the speakership, he won't just block all future progressive legislation -- he'll continue to embrace extremism. We can't let that happen, John.
Diana is committed to doing everything she can to keep the House blue next year, but she needs your help. Chip in $10 or more before our end-of-month deadline to protect our majority.
Thank you,
Team DeGette
