I grew up on a ranch in Eastern Montana as the sixth of ten siblings. My first jobs were to build the fence, stack hay, and feed the sheep.

I’ve spent my life competing in the Olympics, raising three daughters, and fighting for the Montana I grew up in and love.

So I’m not a politician. I didn’t get into this race to fundraise. I got into this race because I’m committed to restoring the dignity and strength of the middle class.

But fundraising is a critical piece of our pathway to victory -- especially as a grassroots, Democratic campaign.

Without taking corporate cash, the odds are stacked against us. But by continually meeting our goals and building grassroots momentum, we can overcome Republican Ryan Zinke's war chest and elect a strong voice for all Montanans.
