John,

Tomorrow is GivingTuesday, your chance to join the wave of generosity spanning the globe. It's also a chance for you to meet some of the Law Enforcement Action Partnership's board members responsible for guiding the organization. Their job is to ensure LEAP effectively pursues our mission of working toward safer communities and a justice system that is truly just for all.

Our board contributes greatly to the organization, in both time and experience. Collectively, they have nearly 185 years experience in law enforcement at state, local, federal, and international levels, over 50 years in academia, close to 70 years in law and prosecution, 32 years in corrections, and more than 30 years experience in nonprofit management outside of LEAP. Nearly all of our board members have worked on drug policy and harm reduction over at least the last two decades.

LEAP’s roots are in drug policy: that’s how many of our board members came to us, and that’s how many of you found us as well. Our work has expanded over the years, but drug policy and harm reduction will always be our foundation. Our longtime partners at Dr. Bronner’s share those values. That’s why they’ve generously pledged to match every donation to LEAP up to $5,000 for GivingTuesday. Make your donation on GivingTuesday, and your impact on LEAP’s work will be doubled!

Please take the opportunity to contribute to the work ahead, beginning on November 30 with our GivingTuesday campaign -- a 24-hour chance to have your donation to LEAP doubled.

In Solidarity,

Lt. Diane Goldstein (Ret.)
Executive Director
