The report confirms what other international research has found – that good oral health could be associated with the prevention of serious infection and the hastened recovery from COVID-19. This news is particularly relevant in Wisconsin, which has one of the lowest rates of dental care in the nation. More than 90% of Wisconsin’s 72 counties have at least one geographical area designated as Dental Care Health Provider Shortage Areas by the federal government.
