Hi John,
As you know, NIAC has been highlighting two artists a week as part of their Community Artist Series. And I’m thrilled to announce that I am their artist spotlight today!
My name is Zachary Tirgan and I’m an out and out musician. I’m a professional Opera Singer and lead an indie band called Nouhi’s Nomad that has performed at two NIAC events. Music ultimately serves me by serving others. To my eyes (and ears), music brings people together, gives them solace in times of need, and provides a groove to dance to when they want to release any pent up energy. I support NIAC because we give the Iranian-American community a voice, and fight against discrimination so we can have a seat at the decision making table. That’s why I decided to become a NIAC New York Leadership Council member, and why I’m grateful that NIAC is supporting not only my work, but other artists just like me.
Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday, an opportunity for us to give back to the organizations that give so much to us. So please join me in supporting NIAC by making a donation so we can continue our work >
